Extension, Expansion, Rotation. By applying these simple principles to yoga practice you can learn to care for your back. The force of gravity is constantly bearing down on us making us shorter, compressed, compacted. Learn to defy gravity and use it to your advantage. Decompressing the spine and opening the hips can decrease pain and rejuvenate your back, bringing greater ease in daily life. Gentle twisting brings a new level of strength and suppleness. Back pain can be limiting, debilitating. Don’t give up on your potential – there can be more to life!
In this workshop we’ll journey through the yoga sequence. The principles of extension, expansion, and rotation can be applied equally well to our lives. First we grow up, then we expand our sense of ourselves, growing broader (figuratively and sometimes literally too) and wiser, and finally, we learn to give back – we extend our generosity and wisdom to our children, grandchildren, and community. A strong and supple back supports our full participation in our lives and communities.
Feedback from a student in Cator’s last Yoga for Jaw Tension workshop:
“This was absolutely amazing. I did it a few years back, enjoyed it, but this time felt truly transformative…thanks so much for hosting this…and please tell Cator she’s amazing.”
